QNEXA Review: Qnexa Availability depends on FDA Approval 2012

There is a new hope that is coming to obese patients and over weight people in the US. The FDA is scanning potential diet pills and weight loss drugs to help people lose weight fast and avoid complications brought about by obesity like heart attacks and stroke.

The FDA has already given an approval to BELVIQ or Lorcaserin last June. This is a landmark in the pharmaceutical industry for it is the first time that the FDA has approved a diet pill since Xenical (Orlistat) 13 years ago. Belviq is manufactured by Arena Pharmaceuticals.

Belviq is only the first among many to be considered as the next generation of diet pills. It is the first among its batch to get approval from the US FDA but waiting in the sidelines are its potential competitors to Xenical’s throne as the heir to the “best diet pill” title.

A couple of those brands waiting for an FDA approval are Contrave by Orexigen and QNEXA by Vivus Inc. The FDA has a scheduled an announcement on July 17, 2012 about Qnexa’s fate.

Hopes are high that the FDA panel would give the same judgment to Qnexa as what they’ve given to Belviq.

What is Qnexa?

Qnexa is a new diet pill still waiting for an FDA Approval. It is a combination diet pill that is composed of 2 prescription drugs, Phentermine and Topimarate.

Phentermine is used as a weight loss agent while Topimarate is being used as an anti-convulsant drug. Qnexa is being manufactured by Vivus Inc.

Where to BUY QNEXA

QNEXA is still not approved by the FDA, thus is still not for SALE. The announcement can happen this July 17, 2012. An FDA Approval in needed before a drug or medicine can be made available and be sold in pharmacies and online drugstores.
